Back for a third year!

For the third year we will be offering the chance for students to belong to the Birthday Book Club.   It is a way to add books to the St. Luke School Library and to honor your child's birthday.   Last year we were able to add over 100 books to our library through your generous support of our club.

Here's how it works.

Fill in the Birthday Book Club form.   One to two weeks before your student's birthday (June, July, August and September birthdays will be celebrated during the school year) you will receive a Selection Form (either through school or by email).   You and your child will then be directed to our wishlist on Amazon.com to make a selection.   We will also have a small number of books to choose from in the library if you are unable to access the Amazon wishlist.   A bookplate with your child's name will be placed inside the book's front cover.   The book will be presented to your child during the Library time closest to his or her birthday.   The book will be a part of the Library collection to be enjoyed for many years by our students.   Your child will also be the first person to check the book out.

All of this can be made possible for a donation of $13.00.   Please note that $13.00 is a donation to the school library.   The book that your child selects may cost less than this.   The difference will be used to purchase other books.

Please fill in the form for the Birthday Book Club, include the $13.00, and return to school by Friday, September 18, 2009.
