CURRENTLY NOT BEING CONDUCTED DUE TO LACK OF VOLUNTEERS.
All children in the parish age 3-9 are invited to participate in Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW) sessions at each Saturday 5:30 p.m. Mass and Sunday 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish. CLOW is intended to help children better pray and reflect on God’s Word. The children are invited to come forward for a special blessing toward the beginning of Mass and then they walk up to St. Dominic Chapel with two CLOW leaders.
Parents who would like to observe are very welcome to accompany their child/ren to St. Dominic Chapel. You will not be missing Mass. The same readings are read and prayers are said, only at a more child-friendly level. This is a wonderful way to help children grow in their ability to participate more fully in the Mass.
The children then rejoin their families for the second part of Mass, the Liturgy of the Eucharist, during the offertory.
If you are interested in volunteering to help with CLOW, contact Mary Pyper, 937-426-1733 x306 or [email protected] We could always use more volunteers and if you like to sing, we could use some music leaders as well. Teenagers are welcome to volunteer, however two adults who are compliant with the Archdiocesan child protection program must be present at each CLOW session. Consider participating. It is both meaningful for the children as well as rewarding for the adults!
