The Sacrament of Reconciliation is the first of two sacraments of healing. This is the sacrament of spiritual healing for baptized persons who have distanced themselves from God as a result of sins committed. There are four elements to the sacrament:

First Reconciliation
The parish preparation program for Reconciliation consists of these components:
- Since parental involvement in catechesis is essential in the on-going formation of the child, a Reconciliation Prep Night is required for the parent/guardian and the child receiving the sacrament on November 9, 2020 6:30-8:00pm in Kramer Hall.
- The child must attend PSR/Catholic School regularly and actively participate in a two-year preparation period.
- Reconciliation preparation begins in grade one and the immediate preparation in grade two.
The children will celebrate their First Reconciliation on January 23, 2021 at 9:00 am

CRITERIA FOR READINESS
The candidate:
1. Can distinguish accident, inappropriate behavior, and sin according to the child’s age.
2. Must acknowledge sin.
3. Expresses sorrow for sin.
